Kaapelipuisto is in Ruoholahti, north of the Dance House Helsinki and the Cable Factory. The construction of the park is related to the Dance House Helsinki project, completed in 2022, and it is planned simultaneously with the Dance House Helsinki and Kaapeliaukio as a whole. The park forms a peaceful pocket in the middle of the culture, office, and residential buildings.
In Kaapelipuisto, the focus is on multi-species vegetation. Among other things, thousands of perennials (more than 40 different species) and more than 30 trees have been planted in the park. Large stone boulders border comfortable staying areas in the relatively small park, protecting from the Dance House Helsinki maintenance traffic. The park’s sculptural white exercise equipment got its idea from different kinds of dance and gymnastics.
