At the Carbon-smart Urban Green Festival on Saturday 26.8. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a children’s workshop will be organized in front of the Central Library Oodi. In the workshop, we build landscapes of the future and discuss where play can start: a touch of imagination, a pile of sand, twigs, and pinecones. Children get to dip their hands in the sand and get to know different natural materials by touching, exploring, and looking. The workshop is organized in cooperation with the CO-CARBON project.

Alku is a method developed by Nomaji for designing child-friendly environments. Alku offers methods for evaluating and considering child-friendliness in different environments. With the help of the method, environments are implemented that strengthen children’s well-being and offer comfort and well-being to citizens of all ages.
