Welcome to our next Science afternoon which is held in English.

Urban agriculture is a growing phenomenon, and this spring it is especially topical. Inflation, lack of fertilisers, shift from fossil fuels and insecure state of the world are giving new purposes for local food production. However, the advantages of urban agriculture are much more than feeding people in cities. Farming can strengthen communities, offer a site for education, increase appreciation towards food production and even create job or training possibilities.

What kind of farming in the cities is possible and recommendable? How to practice urban farming in a sustainable way? An architect Caroline Moinel and a practicing agroecologist Joshua Finch will make presentations about these subjects.
