Lohja partnership block
The aim of the design for the partnership block completed for the Lohja housing fair of 2021 was to encourage communality and encounters between inhabitants in a village-like, cozy scale. In addition to the functions of the residential yard, the outdoor areas of the daycare center and nursing home are also located in the common yard.

The Kaapeliaukio square
Helsinki has a new building dedicated to the art of dance. Nomaji was responsible for the landscape design of the House of Dance project, including the associated public outdoor spaces.

Mapping of business premises and their users in the courtyards of Kamppi
The central Helsinki urban district of Kamppi consists largely of closed city blocks formed by continuous building masses. Hidden inside of these blocks are numerous small courtyards, many of which provide premises for a diverse group of small businesses, organizations and public services.

Helsinki Summer Streets 2022
The Summer Streets leading from Esplanad towards the Design Museum square brought the forest to the city. Nomaji and Sweco were responsible for the conceptualisation and design of the summer streets.

Tikkurila Väritehdas district
Our proposal “Parklife won the shared first prize in the international invitational competition in the Tikkurila Väritehdas district. “Parkilfe” was praised in the review for its visually rich urban vision.

Riveria Peltola’s campus
A new school building was planned for the Riveria campus area in Peltola, east of the center of Joensuu. At the same time the outdoor spaces of the campus area were developed to better meet the needs of the renewing vocational school.

Kintterö health forest
The nature path structures of Kintterö are part of the EU-funded GoGreenRoutes project. This initiative supports the implementation of nature based solutions that enhance the physical and mental health of urban residents.

Guoshen Museum
We collaborated with JKMM Architects in the competition for the Guoshen National Museum in Shenzhen, China. On the banks of the Pearl River Delta in Shenzhen, China, and due to open in 2025, the Guoshen Museum, is destined to be China’s National Museum Shenzhen Branch, highlighting the wide-reaching importance of this rapidly developing region.

Renewal of the Helsinki East Urban Centre
The City of Helsinki organized a general and international idea competition for the design of the most important areas of Itäkeskus and the Puotila metro station area. The proposal of our working group ITIS SITI was ranked second in the competition by the jury and recommended that the Puhos and Puotila areas be further developed on the basis of our proposal.
