Kyläseppä-Storhemt local environment plan
Between the centre of Suurpelto and Turunväylä, new residential areas of Kyläseppä and Storhemt are being planned. The Kyläseppä-Storhemt local environment plan brings together the surrounding local plan areas and presents guidelines for the development of the central park area of Suurpelto. The work examines the conditions for developing an area of cultural and historical value that is challenging in terms of ecological connections.
Härmälä idea competition
Our proposal Huili received a shared victory on October 10, 2025 in the idea competition for a new residential and camping area in Tampere’s Härmälä. The concept of Huili (rest, break, relaxation) draws inspiration from old-time villa life, centered around living and staying in the midst of nature, the restorative power of nature, community spirit and the spaces, services and shared-use facilities that encourage it.
Alku – child-friendly landscape architecture
Alku (beginning) explores child-friendly landscape architecture and urban planning through three key themes: nature, play, and movement. It delves into the importance of interactive design and the participation of children and youth. The book is part of Nomaji’s anniversary year, and in addition to theory and design principles it presents practical examples from projects over the past ten years.
