The nature path structures of Kintterö are part of the EU-funded GoGreenRoutes project. This initiative supports the implementation of nature based solutions that enhance the physical and mental health of urban residents.
The health forest concept was chosen to be located in Kintterö for its proximity to the Päijät-Häme central hospital. Three different structures were designed to guide the visitors along the health forest route, drawing inspiration from the landscape and view of each selected spot.
In the south-west part, the boardwalk is designed to immerse the visitors through the forest. Benches are found alongside and invite to stop and enjoy the beautiful views towards Kintterönlampi.
As the route continues to north, the next resting spot offers shelter in the form of a canopy and several sitting possibilities. The canopy opens towards the forest and provides shelter from the rain.
Continuing the route towards south, the yoga platforms replicate the topography of the milieu following the terrain. The platforms invite the visitors to rest and meditate in the inspiring nature setting.
